I'm feeling a bit guilty about my poor wee blog. Can't believe I haven't updated since February - I wish I could say it was because I have been doing wildly wonderful things - but sadly that isn't the case. I've just let day to day 'stuff' get in the way and some how got lost in it all.
Anyway, i have a week off work this week with my youngest and have promised myself some blogging time and some crafty time.
I found this blog today - Graceful Creative and I really like what I have seen so far. She has this 'challenge' on her blog Edit, Add, Appreciate
Edit one thing--material objects, negative thoughts, bad habits, or activities that don't reflect who you are as a person. It doesn't have to be a physical thing; Sometimes bad habits and negative thoughts are more detrimental than physical clutter.
Add something. Bring in something or reinvent one thing in your life--thoughts, habits, activities, clothing, objects...Add something that will help you be a better person; And yes, sometimes a new pair of jeans can help!
Appreciate something or someone already in your life. Hug your children and tell them how special they are. Call your spouse, just because. Be extra polite to the guy who makes your latte. Frame that favorite piece of art.
I really like the simplicity of this and think it might be what I need just now. So this week I am going to:
Edit - some clutter, starting with my work table which is stopping my creativity from flowing
Add - one on one time with each of my children - no distractions, no interruptions, just us
Appreciate -take time to appreciate the change of seasons (autumn has made itself known in NZ), it is my favourite time of year and I don't want to let it go by without acknowledging it. Crunching leaves, kicking leaves, just enjoying the smells and colours of the season.

Where are the days going?
It jsut seems like yesterday since I updated my blog - but it is almost a week. Where is the time going? Is it a sign of getting older (never!) or is it just because everything in our world is going faster and faster? With autumn just round the corner there were plenty of chores to keep me busy - inside and outside the house.
Haven't had a very creative weekend. I have almost finished a holder - altered from a Pringles chip container into something a bit more pleasing to look at. Will take a photograph and post it later.
Have been cruising some fabulous blogs. Check this one out for a fabulous giveaway HERE. The fabulous bloggers from the CB forum have all been busy lately - see some of them at right. Sewdelish also has a give away going now - check it out HERE
I have subscribed to the kits from Paper Pesto (see HERE) My first kit is due this week - can't wait. I'm already planning what I can do with it. Watch this space for some fab creations.
Thought of the day: Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can. ~Danny Kaye

Hello autumn
I've been a bad blogger of late - must try harder. It has been a good week though. The lovely Jules at Creative Makes HERE gave me a You Make My Day Award, and then I won some lovely blog candy from her as well - wow oh wow I never win anything.
Then on Saturday I got a lovely new Casio camera - it is gorgeous can't wait to get using it.
It is now the 3rd March so officially autumn has arrived - unfortunately autumnal weather has arrived as well. Since it was so cold and wet yesterday I made a few cards to have in reserve. Here they are -

I've also finished and posted my bookmark for the CB forum Here swap as well as the ATCs I made for another swap at CB. Will post photos when they have been received by recipients - don't want to spoil the surprise.
Thought for the day: Don't be fooled by the calendar. There are only as many days in the year as you make use of. ~Charles Richards
